2009 Pacific 3D Championships
The third Pacific 3D Championships is to be held at the Massey Archery Club over the weekend of August 8th and 9th 2009. This event has been organised by IBO New Zealand in conjunction with the Australian 3D Archery body, 3D AAA It follows the inaugural event held in NZ in 2007 and the successful Australian hosting in 2008.
2009 Ultimate Challenge - IBO Series
Arrowhead Archery run this as a recreational series to encourage archers from all different disciplines such as field, target, hunting fraternity and those archers who belong to none of the above to come and join in and meet people of a like mind. Our targets are 3D’s (life size animal targets) which are shoot from different distances where you have to guess what distance the animal is at. Simulated hunting conditions in a field round environment.
We run a 4 round series and points are scored for each round and if you shoot all 4 rounds you can drop your worst round. The rounds are shot under IBO rules.
At the end of the year we complete the Ultimate Challenge with a 2 day National event. At the end of day 2 all the winners of their divisions take part in a shoot out “Champion of Champions” Title – 1 arrow – 1 target – closest to the centre wins. All divisions are eligible. For the last two years a cub and a junior shooter have won.
