Coaching

Trevor Irvine can offer all levels of training and coaching, for beginners to intermediate to advanced archers, for both recreational and competitive fields. We believe archery is for anyone, from any age and walk of life, male and female.

Children’s coaching for a safe fun learning experience

Trevor has been responsible for archery coaching at camps like Sir Peter Blake Marine Park, and YMCA, and has trained many teachers and parents for school camps. He is also currently coaching a group of young shooters for the Junior World Championship in Turkey. One of these shooters shot a world record recently for 70 metre distance.

Empowering paraplegics to master and enjoy the sport

Trevor is also involved in Parafed, an organisation training paraplegic members in archery, and is now training paraplegics to coach for Auckland Parafed. He is currently helping to set up groups in various towns to enable them to have their own events.

Coaching a wide range of disciplines according to your interests

Trevor coaches all the disciplines from FITA (Olympic Style) archery, to field archery, target archery, 3D archery, bowhunting and just good fun recreational archery.

High level coaching for hard-core competitors

Trevor has coached many champions, from juniors upwards, drawing on his own skills developed in attaining many titles such as the New Zealand Field Archery Association national champion in the Field and Bowhunter sections in Men's Freestyle Unlimited, and national champion in the IBO 3D nationals.
